On Thursday October 7th 2010, Detroit 9th Battalion companies responded to a reported dwelling fire at Westphalia & McNichols. Engine 50 reported smoke showing while enroute and arrived on the scene with a working fire in a vacant 1.5 story dwelling. Engine 50 stretched on the dwelling. Crews preformed an interior attack and had this fire under control in aprox 20 minutes. Engines 50/60/46 Ladder 23 Squad 6 Chief 9 responded to this box alarm.
