On Sunday April 19th 2009, Detroit 9th battalion companies responded to a vacant dwelling fire. At Wayburn & Southampton. upon arrival of Engine 52 they stretched on this 2 story dwelling. Compaines operated for aprox 40 mins to bring this fire under control. 7 dogs were found in the dwelling. with all but 1 deceased. Engine 52/58/50 Ladder 31 Squad 6 & Chief 9 responded to this box alarm.
