On Sunday March 15th 2009, Detroit 9th Battalion companies responded to a reported dwelling fire at Pelkey & E State Fair. Upon arrival of Engine 60 they advised they had a working and were stretching on an occupied dwelling. EMS was ordered for stand-by. This fire was brought under control in aprox. 20 mins using the full box alarm assignment. Engines 60/50/58 Ladder 23 Squad 6 and Chief 9 responded to this box alarm.
