On Saturday December 4th 2010, Detroit 6th Battalion companies responded to a reported dwelling fire at Lenox & E Canfield. Upon arrival of Chief 6 he reported a working fire in 2 dwellings with 1 going throughout. Engine 32 arrived on the scene an stretched on the dwellings. Chief 6 requested an extra Engine and Truck above the box assignment. Defensive operations were set up on the vacant dwelling going throughout and crews preformed an interior attack on the exposure dwelling. This fire was fought in defensive mode using monitor, water tower and 2 handlines. The fire was brought under control in aprox. 2 hours. Engines 32/38/41/46 Ladder 31/19 Squad 6 and Chief 6 responded to this incident.
