On Sunday March 8th 2009, Detroit 9th Battalion companies responded to a reported dwelling fire in the Area of Kensington & McKinney. Upon arrival of Engine 58 & Squad 6 a 1.5 story dwelling was found going throughout. Engine 58 stretched on this dwelling. Having the 2nd arriving Engine (E50) to dump their monitor on arrival. Companies operated at this fire for aprox. 1.5 hrs. To bring this fire under control. Engines 58/50/52/46 Ladder 23 Squad 6 and Chief 9 responded to this box alarm.
