On Tuesday July 28th 2009, a citizen walked into Engine 50's firehouse reporting a dwelling fire at Houston-Whittier & Chalmers. E50 reported the fire and Central Office sent the Box. Engine 50 stretched on the 1.5 vacant dwelling. This fire was brought under control using 2 lines in aprox. 20 minutes. Engines 50/58/60 Ladder 23 Squad 6 Chief 9 responded to the box alarm.
