On Saturday May 16th 2009, Detroit 7th battalion companies responded to a reported commercial building fire. While enroute Chief 7 reported smoke showing. Upon arrival a 2 story Aprox. 100 X 100 vacant building was found going. Engine 27 stretched on the fire. Chief 7 on arrival requested a 2nd Alarm. Companies made a quick attack on the fire using 3 lines. Companies operated at this scene for aprox. 1 hour. Engines 27/29/33/10/8/34/5 Ladders 8/13/6 Squads 4/2 Chief 7/5 & 203 responded to this alarm.
