On Tuesday June 16th 2009, Detroit 5th battalion companies responded to a fire in this occupied 5 story apartment building, upon arrival of Engine 35 they reported a working fire and stretched. E35 reported civilians down and some attempting to jump from the building. EMS was requested. Chief 5 requested and extra Engine Truck and Squad. Then a 2nd Alarm was requested for manpower and evacuations. Fire was brought under control in 1 unit on the 1st floor of the building. Engines 35/39/17/44/23/5/40/56 Ladders 7/20/17/16 Squad 2/4/3 Chiefs 5/8 Cars 203/201/202 responded to this alarm.
