On Wednesday September 17th 2008, Detroit Fire Department Central Office received a report of a vacant dwelling on fire in the area of Hendrie & Dubois. upon arrival of Engine Co. 23 & Squad 3 they reported a vacant dwelling going throughout and advised that the tower would be used on this fire. This fire was fought totally defensive using several handlines and Ladder 10's water tower. The fire was brought under control in aprox.1 hour using the full box alarm assignment. Engines 23/09/17 Ladder 10 Squad 3 and Chief1 responded to this box alarm.
